Cloud disaster recovery vendor directory

Short answer

Eight vendors in four groups: infrastructure recovery platforms (Firefly, Commvault Cloud Rewind, ControlMonkey), cloud DR orchestration (Arpio), data backup platforms (Veeam, Cohesity) and infrastructure-as-code tools (HCP Terraform, StackGuardian). Only three publish a price for their recovery capability.

Frequently asked questions about cloud disaster recovery vendors

What types of cloud disaster recovery vendors are there?

Four, for this purpose: infrastructure recovery platforms that rebuild configuration, DR orchestration tools that fail whole applications over, data backup platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools that can re-apply code you already have. Most estates need a data backup product plus one of the first two.

Which cloud resilience vendors support Google Cloud?

Commvault Cloud Rewind, ControlMonkey, Veeam and StackGuardian state Google Cloud support. Firefly inventories Google Cloud but its Backup and DR coverage table lists AWS and Azure. Arpio states AWS and Azure.

Why are Spacelift and env0 not ranked?

They are IaC orchestration platforms. Neither describes a backup or cloud disaster recovery product on its home page, so they would score near zero on most criteria here.
