Cloud disaster recovery calculator: re-weight the ranking and estimate published costs
Move the seven weights to match your priorities and the eight vendors re-rank instantly, using the same editorial scores as the main ranking. Where a vendor publishes a price, the table estimates the annual cost for your inputs; where it does not, it says Not published, contact sales.
Ranking current as of September 2026 · By the Cloud Resilience Vendors research desk
The main ranking uses one editorial view of what matters in a cloud infrastructure rebuild. This calculator lets you apply your own. The scores do not change; only the weights do. Two vendors in this edition publish prices you can model: Arpio by tier and number of clouds, and Veeam's SaaS offering per terabyte. The others are Contact sales or publish only a tier that does not include recovery.

How the numbers are calculated
Your score = sum of (criterion score × your weight) ÷ sum of your weights. With our weights this equals the published total.
Annual cost = published price × your units, only where the vendor publishes that price.
Value = your score ÷ annual cost in thousands of dollars. It compares cost only; the products do different jobs, so read it with the scores.
Scores are editorial assessments from public vendor material, not test results. Prices are as published on the vendor pages we reviewed on 27 September 2026 and may have changed; check with the vendor before you buy.
Frequently asked questions about the calculator
How do I use the cloud disaster recovery calculator?
Set each slider to how much that criterion matters to you, from 0 (ignore it) to 10. The table re-ranks the eight vendors immediately. Add your protected data in TB and your Arpio tier, cloud count and core resources to see annual costs where prices are published.
Why do only two vendors show a cost?
Arpio publishes every tier's price and Veeam publishes its SaaS rate per TB. Firefly publishes a tier that does not include Backup and DR, HCP Terraform publishes rates in a separate IBM table, and the others are Contact sales. We do not estimate prices a vendor has not published.
Do the weights change the scores?
No. Every criterion score stays as published on the vendor pages. The weights only change how much each criterion counts in the total, so the order can change.
What does Reset to our weights do?
It restores the weights used in the main ranking (coverage 20%, data 18%, automation 16%, cross-region 14%, drift 12%, restore as code 10%, pricing 10%) and the default inputs.
